Plugins
Optional connectors to other services. Receipt Keep works perfectly with none of them.
A plugin is never required, its code is free, and it never connects to a live service
without your own credentials and Jay's go-ahead for that service.
QuickBooks
needs your credentials
Send saved Business receipts to QuickBooks as expenses/purchases. Personal receipts are never sent to any plugin.
What the outside service charges:
Intuit charges for QuickBooks itself (and for API access). That is their charge — this plugin is free.
What it would do:
- Only receipts marked Business, and only ones already SAVED (reviewed by a person).
- One expense per receipt: vendor, date, total and tax.
- Nothing is ever written back into Receipt Keep from QuickBooks.
- Turn it off at any time; nothing breaks.
Not approved for a live connection yet — that needs Jay's go-ahead for
QuickBooks specifically. You can still save your own credentials below; they are
encrypted and nothing will connect.
How plugins work here
- The core app never talks to an outside service — only a plugin does.
- Each service gets its own plugin, so one can be added or removed without touching the rest.
- A plugin is never mandatory; the app is complete without them.
- Plugin code is free. If the outside service charges its users, it is stated above.
- No live connection without your own credentials and Jay's go-ahead for that service.
- Personal receipts are never sent to a plugin.
